This Chrome extension is used as part of a research study to measure short-video viewing behavior during a TikTok session.
The extension may collect and process the following information:
The collected information is used only for research and experiment-related purposes, including measuring participant behavior during the study and linking TikTok viewing-session data with task results collected on the study website.
The extension temporarily stores session data locally in the browser while the participant is completing the TikTok viewing portion of the study. When the participant finishes and submits the session, the extension sends the summarized data securely to the study server over HTTPS.
We do not sell personal information collected by this extension. Data is shared only with the study server and authorized research personnel responsible for the experiment.
Participants may stop using the extension at any time by closing the browser page or removing the extension. Locally stored extension data may be cleared by removing the extension from Chrome.
